What to check in the source export
Card activity can include merchant descriptions, foreign-currency amounts, refunds, settlement payments and fees. The issuing bank determines the report layout.
Upload an existing CSV or XLSX transaction export, verify amounts and columns, and convert it for accounting.
Important distinction: American Express merchant/acquiring reports can contain transaction details exported as CSV/XLS. This does not establish that consumer card statements use the same CSV layout. Use the actual export from your card account.
